Available Dogs
Please check out the wonderful rescued dogs we currently have in our care by clicking the Boston button to the left. We strive to place each dog in the best home for that dog's specific temperament and needs. Unfortunately, that means you might not be able to adopt the first dog you see on our PetFinders site. Thank you for your understanding.
As a rescue organization, we do not frequently have puppies in our care. We also get many applications for our younger dogs. This means that it can often take some time to match approved adopters with a younger dog. So won't you consider adopting a mature, senior, or special needs dog? They still have so much love to give!
Our Adoption Process
The goal of Boston Brigade Rescue is to place rescued Boston Terriers in loving, permanent homes. We strive to place each dog in the most suitable home based on that dog's unique personality and individual needs. For this reason, we utilize a thorough adoption process. The adoption process consists of a completed application, interview, home check, veterinary and/or personal reference checks, adoption contract, adoption donation, and whenever possible post-adoption home visits. Please be aware that we adopt ONLY to the local Southern California area.
The veterinary costs for our rescued dogs are paid by your generous donations. For this reason we do require an adoption donation. Adoption donations vary based on the age and health of the dog, and typically range from $100 to $300. One hundred percent of adoption donations are used to cover the costs associated with the medical care of our rescued dogs. Each dog is examined by a veterinarian and provided with all necessary and reasonable medical treatment, vaccinated, spayed or neutered if necessary, and put on heartworm preventative.
